AIB All-Ireland Club SHC Semi-Finals

Galway’s St. Thomas’ lost out to Cúchullains Dun Láthaí of Antrim by 0-13 to 1-14 at Croke Park with the Dunloy team going forward to meet Ballyhale Shamrocks of Kilkenny who dethroned defending Champions Ballygunner of Waterford by a score of 1-16 to 0-16 in a gripping second Semi-Final. Goals by Keelan Molloy (Dunloy) and TJ Reid (Shamrocks) proved the big difference in each game. [References: 1-2]

AIB All-Ireland Club SHC Final

Ballyhale Shamrocks of County Kilkenny triumphed in the GAA Hurling All-Ireland Senior Club Championship Final by seven points over Cúchullains Dun Láthaí of County Antrim. A hard-earned first half lead of 1-9 to 1-7 was reduced to 1-13 to 1-12 following a Conal Cunning free, one of seven frees for the Antrim forward, but despite only a point separating the teams with nine minutes to go, Ballyhale finished the stronger, rattling off four scores in a row to make it 1-18 to 1-13, Eoin Cody leading the Kilkenny team’s scorers with 1-5. Again Cúchullains fought back, scoring two points to reduce the margin to 1-18 to 1-15 but a final flourish of four points sealed Ballyhale’s victory to add to their record medal haul in All-Ireland Club Championships.
