Quarter-Finals

Clare and Limerick needed a replay after drawing 1-19 to 2-16 while Tipperary had an eight-point victory over Waterford (2-13 to 1-8).

Semi-Finals

Kerry defeated Cork by over double points, winning 0-23 to 0-11 while Limerick won 2-10 to 0-10 versus Tipperary. [References: S3-S4]

Final

The growing gap between the elite and the rest was further evident in the Munster GAA Football Senior Championship Final as Kerry triumphed by 1-28 to 0-8, scoring almost four times the opposition score. [References: S3-S4]

ABOUT MUNSTER GAA SFC 2022

The Munster GAA Senior Football Championship of 2002 is one of four Provincial Championships which qualify the winning counties for the All-Ireland GAA Senior Football Championship Quarter-Finals, which is the Premier Inter-County Gaelic Football Championship for Adults. The 2002 Munster Provincial Championship featured the six traditional counties, with Kerry and Cork receiving a bye into the Semi-Finals. The Munster Championship in 2022 is Single Elimination, with the counties Eliminated going into the All-Ireland Qualifiers. In addition Tipperary and Waterford were eligible for the Tailteann Cup, the Championship to the All-Ireland Senior Championship’s Premier League.
