Waterford had a four point victory (2-24 to 2-20) over Tipperary in Round 1, while Limerick defeated Cork by a 11-point margin (2-25 to 1-17). [References: 3-4]

Limerick went clear at the top of the Munster GAA SHC table with a second win, by three points (0-30 to 2-21) over Waterford, and Clare got started with a eight-point win at Semple Stadium over the Premier County (3-21 to 2-16) [References: 3]
Round 5 (22 May 2022)
An Clár joined Luimneach in the Munster GAA Hurling Senior Championship Final with a 3-31 to 2-22 defeat of Port Láirge as Corcaigh joined the two finalists in the All-Ireland Series with a 3-30 to 1-24 victory over Tiobraid Árann. [References: 3-5]
Final (1 June 2022)
Luimneach triumphed by a single goal over An Clár in the 2022 Munster GAA Hurling Senior Championship Final after both counties put 29 points each over the bar. Luimneach progressed to the All-Ireland Semi-Finals, and An Clár entered the All-Ireland Series at the Quarter-Final stage, while third-placed Corcaigh joined them in the All-Ireland Series at the Preliminary Quarter-Final stage where they were to meet Joe McDonagh Cup (All-Ireland Tier 2) Champions Aontroim. ABOUT MUNSTER GAA SENIOR HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP 2022
The Munster GAA Senior Hurling Championship (SHC) is one of two Provincial Championships at the highest level of Inter-County Hurling in Ireland in 2022. Five of the Six Munster Counties entered the Round-Robin Championship, with the top two counties at the end of the League Stage meeting in the Munster Provincial Final. The Winners Qualify directly for the All-Ireland Semi-Final, while the runners-up qualify for the All-Ireland Quarter-Finals where they will meet the winners of the Preliminary Round Game between the Joe McDonagh Cup (2nd Division Hurling Cup) and the 3rd placed Leinster GAA Provincial Championship county. The winners of this Quarter-Final progress to the All-Ireland SHC Senior Hurling Championship Semi-Finals. [References: 3-4]
