Report

Kerry defeated Leitrim in the Final of the New York GAA Navillus Senior Football Championship in 2014, winning 3-15 (24 points) to 1-10 (13 points) to avenge defeat in the final league stage match in which Leitrim had triumphed 2-15 (21) to 3-11 (20). That match was one of only two Kerry lost in the entire Championship out of 12 in total, the other loss coming against Monaghan in Week 4. Those three teams and Cork qualified for the Semi-Finals ahead of the other two Clubs Cavan and Donegal. New York eliminated Monaghan in the Semi-Finals, and Leitrim won by a point (1-8 to 1-7) in a low scoring encounter in the other semi-final, despite twice having lost to Cork in the League stage.
